Bucky This Billy Fridrich dude is quite prolific. Just as his other project Axis/Orbit piqued our attention with its garage/psych/rock amalgamation, Caves of Utah blister the sunset with a rather melodic approach. The cave walls are etched with metallic solos, sun stained vocal croons, and tinted with a film of grunge as the diversity between each song carries its tone into the desert horizon.

The Ancients 04:34
Riding shotgun on a comet's tail Warriors of space will sail (To) solar systems of water and gold Of Cosmonauts, the elders foretold Mighty ships at night aglow Land of beasts afoot below Cast a spell, genetic code A race of servants to behold From where have they come? Craft engines hum Children, children of the sun Said to be the chosen ones Orbit earth, unseen in space Shifting shapes within the populace A super-human, ancient race Unbeknownst to us, we embrace
2.
Oceans 05:51
From the depths of the oceans they rise Captive no longer, reach the skies Centuries they've spent beneath the sea In cities unknown to you and me Exit earth and travel toward the stars Sirius calls them from afar Traveling in ships across the black Ten thousand years will pass and they'll be back Pyramids, Nazca lines Cave depictions yielding signs Chariots and Easter Isle Crop circles, the stars align They will come again, yeah They will come again

Sisters 04:35
Eastern sky enlightened Stars begin to fade Three voices grace the zephyr Heaven’s serenade Apsara spirits Light my way Borne of one, kin united Never will I stray Sister moonbeam Sister sun Sister halo You have come You have come You have come Providence provided Unrivaled gift Graceful fates of lore Spirit was adrift Now we’re growing closer With hope and love Guardians walk beside us Angels smile above Sister moonbeam Sister sun Sister halo You have come

The Only One 03:33
Father, dear, I’ve grown up on my own Scion of the seed that you had sown For years to me you were a man unknown Walk with me in spirit, now you’ve flown I am your son First born – the only one Author, poet, scholar you would be Jester, husband, scribe of history Headed West to raise your family Unaware of you, and you of me I am your son First born – the only one I am your son First born – the only one I am your son First born – the only one I am your son First born – the only one I am your heir I knew you’d be there somewhere, somewhere I am your son First born – the only one
